IXELLES
Ixelles is one of the 19 communes of Brussels. Ixelles regroups many different quarters, but most of the accomodations we are offering are situated around the ULB.
This particular part of Ixelles is very green, as it encompasses many parks. The Bois de la Cambre, Brussels' biggest park, is just accross the university, and you'll be able to run or walk easily to and inside the Bois. The place Flagey, bordered by the Ixelles ponds, is also a very nice place to go and have a drink, or simply to saunder along the ponds.
Last but certainly not least, the cemetary of Ixelles neighborhood is the ULB students' favorite place to go out. It counts many little restaurants and bars, most of them really affordable.

ETTERBEEK
Etterbeek is also one of Brussel's 19 communes. It isn't far from the University's main Campus (the Solbosch) and very close from La Plaine, another campus. You can reach it easily using the public transports.
Etterbeek is more urban than Ixelles, yet it is bordered by the Parc du Cinquentenaire, a beautiful park surrounding the Museum of the Cinquentenaire.
It is a very lively neighborhood, and has many welcoming streets, such as the Tongres street, which is great for a little tour around the shops. There are also many cultural activities, such as theatres, cultural centers, etc.
Another advantage of Etterbeek is its train station.Trains from there can take you quickly to the centre, or to the airport.
